Heel of the Week: Jimmy Choo “Pearl” Floral Wedge

Just in case you missed the memo . . . floral and wedges are in this Spring season. So, make sure to add one or both to your Spring/Summer wardrobe. Or better yet, combine the both trends into one shoe.

Aren’t these wedges . . . funky, fab, and far out. . . seventies chic, baby. I just want to hit the beach with them on my feet. Actually, it is more like, I want to visit a warm tropical place and stroll around in my all white beach wear with a splash of color on my feet.

The vibrant 5-inch wedges have leather straps and braided suede laces, that make their way up the ankle, concluding with tassels. The floral wedges retail for around $795.

Heel of the Week/ Jimmy Choo “Vibe” Glitter Peep Toe Pump

The Holiday season has begun. Well, I am not sure if it is officially the Holiday season but, it is beginning to look a lot like Christmas. At least, if you are looking at the department store windows. I will be attending the unveiling of the Macy’s windows in my hometown this Friday. I do love Department Store Holiday windows. How about you?

I digress. . .

Well, in the spirit of all that is Holiday, the heel of the week is Jimmy Choo “Vibe” in glitter.

Wouldn’t these heels be perfect for the Holiday workplace party? When all your co-workers are displaying a side of themselves you would rather never know about — you can look at you “Vibe” heels and they will take you to a happy magical place.

I know this is the heel of the week, however, I was over at Pinterest when I saw this photo:

Unfortunately, when the person pinned this to her board, she failed to write the color name. But, isn’t it the perfect color to compliment Jimmy Choo “Vibe” glitter pumps? Yes, I say so. (Also, check out Eclechick’s Spirit Fingers: Top Holiday Nail Lacquers” post.)

The glamorous, glitter-encrusted upper with crackled platform features a 6-inch heel and retails for around $795.

Jimmy Choo ICONS Collection, Campaign, and Coffee Table Book

In celebration of it’s 15 year anniversary, Jimmy Choo has launched the limited edition ICONS Capsule Collection. The collection features a modern version of 15 of the company’s archived classics pumps. Including, the Spring 1998 shoe (updated as Marlene), featured in season 3 of Sex and the City. You know the episode — Carrie Bradshaw chased after the Staten Island ferry and ended up missing it after slipping out of her shoe. Then, Carrie calls out, “Wait, I lost my Choo!”.

The campaign was shoot by Nan Goldin, best known for her raw documentary photography, and features model Linda Vojtova

Along with the revamping of vintage shoes the company has released a coffee table book entitled, Jimmy Choo XV.

Isn’t the cover awesome? The book chronicles the company’s most significant shoes through imagery shot by photographers, Mario Testino and Terry Richardson. The book, encased in a deluxe snakeskin sleeve, includes paparazzi shots, design sketches, and behind the scenes images.
Ten percent of the net sales from the ICONS collection and one-hundred percent of the net sales from the book will be donated to the Jimmy Choo Foundation. The Jimmy Choo Foundation is a charitable trust chaired by Tamara Mellon. Mellon is the founder and chief creative officer of the foundation. The foundation addresses global abuses against women, like sex trafficking, gender discrimination, and violence.

Jennifer Lopez Backstage at iheartRadio Music Festival

Singer Jennifer Lopez made an appearance backstage at the iHeartRadio Music Festival held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on September 24, 2011 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Lopez was one of the musical acts to perform that evening.

Jennifer wore a pair of hot pink Jimmy Choo “Kiln” sandals in the press room. The suede 5.7-inch heels are adorned with crystal and retail for around $1995.

Later that night, Jennifer Lopez made an appearance at Pure Nightclub at Caesars Palace.

Model Miranda Kerr poses at the relaunch of her KORA Organics range at David Jones on August 27, 2011 in Melbourne, Australia. The model once again wore a pair of our favorite heels from Jimmy Choo.

“Halley” brown leather sandals from Jimmy Choo feature an ankle strap with gold-tone buckle fastening, high gloss wooden 5-inch heel and brown suede platform. The heel retails for around $1239.
