I recently attended the T-Mobile Summer Event hosted by Rachel of Back n Groove Mom. The T-Mobile Summer Event (being held in cities all around the country) is about keeping families connected and children safe during the summer months.
I decided to attend the event of 3 reasons:
* I wanted to support a sister blogger.
* I wanted to hang out with a fellow Pittsburgh blogger.
* I am a single mother (in heels) of two. So, learning of new apps that will help me keep my children safe in the summer (and all year round) is something I wanted to learn more about.
I must say not only did I enjoy myself; I learned a few things, too.
Warning: For some reason, I had to take photos with all my teeth showing hence, the goofy smile. Now even though, I have a reputation to keep, I decided to share my photos with you all. Hey, if my silly grin makes you smile then, my mission of spreading sunshine to the world is working. HA!
Note: I know putting this one up is dangerous since I may one day find it on Facebook as a Meme . . . HAHA! I really hope not.
So, what did I learn at the event?
I learned about 5 apps that T-mobile provides to keep families connected and give parents peace of mind.
Family Allowances: Set the amount that your child can spend on game downloads. Or how many text messages.
T-Mobile FamilyWhere: See where your children are at any time.
MobileLife Family Organizer: Family calender and it also has a shopping list.
Lookout Mobile Security: Always be able to find your phone even, if it is in silent mode.
Web Guard: Age- appropriate web filters
Now, not all these apps are free. You will have to contact a T-mobile near you for more details and prices. Also, you can go to family.t-mobile.com to learn more on how T-mobile can help keep your family safe this summer.
