Interview Below:

About Me:

I am (always first and foremost) a mother of two beautiful children. I am at the age where I have learned much but, not to old to stop learning. I am a writer, an entrepreneur, certified event planner, and a lover of high heels.

A lover of high heels?

Yes, a lover. I love heels. My pulse races just viewing a pair of fabulous high heels. I am obsessed with them. I have a passion for them. When I receive my fashion magazines in the mail, I read them from the bottom up. Which means, I look at fashion editorials from “what shoes are on her feet” first then, what clothing is the model wearing. I will admit if she is not wearing heels, I tend to lose some interest in the photo. Do not get me wrong, I do like fashion and dressing nice from head to toe but, I love heels. I have been known to stare at the high heels of others around me when I am out and I am not shy about walking up to you and telling you, “Those heels are to die for.”
Actually, truth told my love of high heels and the emotions that are derived from viewing them, not to mention the feelings that overwhelm me as I put them on, are almost sexual in nature.

Where did the name Queen in Heels come from?

The Queen in Heels name has a dual meaning. First, it is the empowerment that I feel when I wear a pair of high heels. I feel beautiful and sexy. I also feel strong and capable of taken over the world. High heels boost my self-esteem on those days when I am not feeling my best. Do not get this twisted. I do not need a pair of shoes to feel good about myself or to convince me I am wonderful or how strong I am. I have traveled many roads and lived many experiences that have led me to this conclusion. However, high heels solidify this knowledge I have gained about myself. They like to enforce this knowledge with the power they send surging through my body.

Second, I believe all women should know and understand that we are truly a wonderful and beautiful gender. As Queens we go out after all we want and desire. And we can do it all in a pair of gorgeous high heels.

Why designer heels?

It is not about the quantity of heels in the closet but, the quality. No, I do not expect women to go out and spend their paycheck on a pair of $700 heels forsaking bills and other needs. What I am telling women is to keep striving for the best life has to offer. It does not matter if this is with fashion, relationships, or your career. Do not settle for less than the best. If you keep your focus on the prize, do the work, put in the time, and make the effort eventually you will have everything you want.

Which woman I look up to?

I look up to any woman who is going after her dreams. Whether that is acting, singing, running a fortune 500 company, starting her own business, or getting a degree. Any woman who has set goals and is working hard to cross them off the list. Even if it is only one by one. Any woman who has tripped over the bump in the road, got up, brushed her knees off, and has kept on high stepping.

Future Plans:

Building the Queen in Heels brand through the site, merchandising, and by building a multi-media company.

Other Tidbits:

Likes: (Other than high heels) oversize sunglasses, traveling, Sweets (candy, cookies, cake, pie, etc) and a good book. Yes, I have more.

Dislikes: Child abuse and Animal abuse. Fur (I promise not to go PETA on you if you do), boring heels on the red carpet, particularly basic black (I need something to write about). I hate seeing high heels that have seen better days (FYI: walking on the metal pin inside the heel is not a good look). I dislike reading or hearing people who put others down who are following their dreams; I think it just stems from jealousy. Yes, I have more.

Last thoughts:

Be you. Stay true to yourself. Love yourself.
