Maybe it was the announcement that Hollywood would do away with celluloid film by the end of 2013, nostalgia (and a tribute) to the Golden days of film, or just a coincidence that two designers have released similar heels in their collections.
Before I tell you which pair I like and ask you to choose which pair you like . . . let me share the details about both with you all.
Charlotte Olympia “Take” sandals are crafted from lustrous silver leather, feature film strip inspired front straps and ankle strap. The 4.5 inches heel retail for around $895.
Kate Spade New York “Fresia” feature leather upper, film strip inspired front straps, ankle strap with a buckle closure, contrast-colored back quarter. The 4-inches heel retail for around $350.
My vote: I like Charlotte Olympia “Take” the best. I think the overall look of both the vamp and ankle strap as film strip is much more cohesive. That detail makes the heels an eye catching statement. Now your turn vote in the poll, leave a comment, or do both.
