New shoe label, LAVYL, is launching its’ first collection entitled, “LACRIMA” for Fall/Winter2012-13. LAVYL was created by Alexandra Lavyl. Alexandra Lavyl is a Swedish footwear designer. She studied in footwear design at CERCAL in San Mauro Pascoli, Italy; a place where such names as Giuseppe Zanotti and Sergio Rossi have learned. After her studies in Italy, she taught making shoes at London College of Fashion, one of the world’s leading colleges for footwear design that has produced such names as Jimmy Choo and Rupert Sanderson.
With her new shoe label, Alexandra, has created a high end label, handmade in Italy that uses only the best materials and techniques. There are 120 steps minimum to process before a LAVYL shoe is finished with minimum 20 components to make each LAVYL shoe to a “opera d’arte” “work of art.”
When asked what three words describe her new label, Alexandra choose, “Femininity, modernity, and elegance.”
