Shoe Revolt

It’s NOT about one organization. It’s NOT about one gender. It’s NOT even about shoes. It’s ALL about THE REVOLT!
Shoe Revolt is a nonprofit organization that has stepped up against the injustice of commercial sexual exploitation of women and children.

• Human trafficking is a $32 billion industry, and is the fastest growing in the world.

• The most common form of human trafficking in the United States is commercial sexual exploitation. American pimps particularly target vulnerable youth, such as runaways and the homeless. The average age of entry into prostitution in the U.S. is 12 to 14 years old.

Shoe Revolt offers supporters the purchasing power to create change through their shoes. You can choose to sell shoes from your closet online or buy new/recycled shoes to add to your shoe closet. Either way you can help provide needed funds to support existing programs and even, create new programs.

On the Shoe Revolt site you can find a list of current programs in each state, and the ability to assign shoe dollars to the program of your choice. The seller can assign the consignment of the money that their shoes raise to the organization(s) of their choice. This assures the buyer that her (or his) money is going to organizations that are directly assisting survivors.
