Heels at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards

The 2011 MTV Video Music Awards took place live on August 28, 2011 at Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California.

Selena Gomez, who also was the pre-show host, paired her black gown with a pair of gold pumps from Brian Atwood.

Britney Spears, who was honored with the MTV Video Vanguard Award and won the “Best Pop Video” Award, wore a pair of Gina’s “Cruz” calfskin boots. The boots have a 5.5 inch heel and retail for around $980.

Katy Perry won three awards: Best Video of the Year, Best Collaboration for her single “E.T.” featuring Kanye West and Best Visual Effects. The singer arrived wearing a pair of strappy heels from Jimmy Choo.

Rapper Lil Mama (who thankfully did not run on stage during Jay-Z’s and Kanye’s performance) wore a pair of Jeffrey Campbell “Rockin” black leather donut wedge booties. The round wooden wedge heel is a towering 6-inches.

Kelly Rowland wore a pair of black Christian Louboutin “Lady Peep” spiked pumps.

Singer Demi Lovato wore a pair of Christian Louboutin “Maggie” Chain-Toe Platform Pumps.

Actress Maria Menuonos wore Giuseppe Zanotti Mirror Cuff Sandals.

Victoria Justice wore a pair of gold “Alayna” chain pumps from Rock & Republic.

Actress Katie Holmes wore mustard colored Proenza Schouler Booties.

Actress Zoe Salanda, who is currently starring in the movie “Colombiana,” wore a pair of sankeskin heels from the fall 2011 collection of Barbara Bui.
