As, many of our readers may know 2012 is a big deal for us. We have made the decision to stay here for (at least) 5 more years. We are switching over the format of the blog to focus more on women issues, HOWEVER, do not worry, the heels are here to stay. For us high heels are not about fashion; they are a lifestyle. And high heels are the shoes we wear on our paths to dreams becoming reality, empowerment, success, and happiness.
Another big deal is that this year . . . today as a matter-of-fact is the 100th Heel of the Week post. WooooHoooo!!
To celebrate, this milestone, we are posting the most expensive shoe we have ever featured as the Heel of the Week.
Why would we choose such an expensive shoe? Because, it is symbolic of our motto to strive for the best in all areas of out lives. And. . .well. . . we also love this wedge (btw for those who don’t know wedges are the “it” shoe of spring/summer).
How much is this the Alexander McQueen Wave strappy wedge? First, the details then, the price. From the Alexander McQueen spring 2012 collection, the wave wedge features curvilinear suede straps that form an architectural cage sandal and a halter ankle wrap with adjustable buckle for a custom fit. The metallic ombre wedge has a ridged texture and a height of 5 1/2-inches.

Now, I really like these wedges…and I have been known to strut in some pretty high heels with no issue….but these scare me! LOL! They are gorgeous though! And quite funky! Congrats on posting your 100th shoe, and I look forward to seeing the new direction of your site!

I really love these wedges. For most women who can’t walk in heels, wedges are a perfect “trainer” shoe.
