The 68th Annual Golden Globes Awards took place Jan 16, 2011 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. For the Golden Globes, as well as the Oscars, the focus on the red carpet are the fabulous gowns. As much as heels are loved around here, a beautiful gown is also truly appreciated. That is why actress Olivia Wilde, wowed everyone when she stepped onto the red carpet.

She was absolutely breathtaking in a sparkling princess gown from Marchesa. What was even more impressive was how Olivia Wilde understood that a fabulous dress called for fabulous heels. Why? Let’s allow the shoe maestro himself to explain it.
“The woman is carrying the clothes, but it is the shoe that carries the woman.” — Christian Louboutin

Olivia Wilde proudly showed us the heels that were magnificently and gracefully carrying her down the red carpet. She rocked a pair of golden spiked “Bridget’s Back” booties by Christian Louboutin. A woman being carried by a pair of killer heels like these can’t help but to shine.

And while, Olivia carried down the red carpet beautifully, Helena Bonham Carter should have allowed her shoes to carry her back home.

Wow is all I have to say about Helena. But Olivia was stunning and the shoes are to die for!
