By now, we have all seen (or heard about) the Alexander McQueen spring/summer 2010 footwear collection. Well, have you seen the bold and exotic campaign photo for the collection?
It features model Raquel Zimmerman, dressed in a bright body suit, with beautiful colorful snakes surrounding her as she lies in the desert sand. The campaign is simply Gorgeous.

And the extreme 10-inch “armadillo” heels fit right in. (It all makes so much sense now, the shoes were created for this campaign and not for anyone to actually purchase and wear).
The campaign photo above is set in the desert, however McQueen’s inspiration for the collection was definitely aquatic.
Here is the link to watch his 2010 spring/summer show entitled,
Plato’s Atlantis
Love the opening video and of course the song for the final walk is none other than Lady Gaga’s Bad Romance (you will find the other heels featured in McQueen’s collection at this link, also).

You might want to retract the “not meant for anyone to wear” part, Kelis wore a pair this week to an event.
Those shoes are truly, truly horrible! Nice ad though!
Yes, you are right. We have seen them on at least two other celebrities feet. So, we will just retract and add the everyday woman to wear.
I do think its odd… just because i’m wondering how the models, lady gaga n kelis walked in em.. the snakes (color) is beautiful but knowing what they are creeps me out.
Trecia one thing is for sure, they are not walking long distances. It’s just up the red carpet and to their seats
The snakes would seem creepy slithering all over you while you try to lay there looking pretty, but the end result is beautiful so worth it (a story she can one day share with the grand kids too).
my guess is that they aren’t real snakes or rather she isn’t really laying in snakes. photoshop perhaps?
