Designer Spotlight: Gwen Stefani

Who better to start the “Musicians and High Heels” week off with, then one of the fiercest fashion forward divas in the music industry . . .

Stefani is the lead vocalist for the rock band, No Doubt and she has also ventured out as a solo artist.
Stefani is considered a fashion trendsetter, so it was only natural that she would enter into the business of clothing design.

In 2004, she debuted her clothing line L.A.M.B. The name L.A.M.B is an acronym for Love. Angel. Music. Baby. (which was also the name of her first solo album). The clothing line was so successful that handbags, watches, fragrance, and shoes. The shoes are upscale and made from the finest imported leathers or other quality material.

In 2005, Stefani created the less expensive line, Harajuku Lovers. The clothing, fragrance, and shoes are based on her four Japanese back-up dancers.























The shoes in this collection range from classy to whimsical.

Stefani is hands on when it comes to both her lines. She is fully involved in overseeing every stitch and intricate detail of the design process.
