Designer Spotlight: Charlotte Olympia

Charlotte Olympia Dellal is the daughter of London property developer Guy Dellal and Brazilian model Andrea Dellal. In 2004, Dellal graduated from the prestigious Cordwainers, a part of the school of fashion in London. In 2006, Dellal launched her London based label, Charlotte Olympia.

Her shoes are all hand-crafted in Italy. Charlotte designs are influenced by the Hollywood of the 40′s and 50′s. Her high heels are not for the inexperienced nor the faint of heart, measuring five plus inches in height. As Charlotte has explained about her choice to design only extremely high heels, “It’s all or nothing.” She added that she only finds Converse low-tops the only acceptable casual choice.

Signature Gold Spiderweb

Each one of her shoes is finished with the brand’s signature gold spider web on the on the sole; inspired by the spider in the story, Charlotte’s Web.

Her designer shoe line ranges from $600 to $1200 in price.
