Where does the woman who loves shoes go on vacation?
How about the woman seeking enlightenment and wanting to learn something new?
How about the woman who is both?
She goes to Toronto, Canada of course.
That is where you will find the The Bata Museum .
The Bata Shoe Museum is more than a building filled with hundreds of shoes. It is filled with over 4,500 years of history. It’s exhibits range from world cultures, fashion history, and celebrity shoes.
The museum explores the evolution of footwear, the uses of footwear in different cultures, methods and materials to manufacture, and its place in our lives.
The Museum was opened on May 6, 1995. It is located on 327 Bloor St. West in downtown Toronto.
