For the first designer spotlight, I decided it was only appropiate to begin with Roger Vivier.
November 13, 1913 to October 2, 1998
Here are some facts on Roger Vivier:
* He was a French designer.
* He designed shoes for Christian Dior from 1953 to 1963.
* He is the designer of the popular and often copied, ‘pilgrim’ shoe.

* Roger Vivier is credited with the invention of the stiletto, as it is seen today. He used a thin rod of metal to support the wearer’s weight. (And because of this I owe this Roger Vivier a huge thank you)
He also designed the comma heel.
