With spring upon us and summer right around the corner, more and more people will begin exposing body parts.
This exposure includes feet. Flip-flops, sandals, peep toe heels, and people walking around barefoot- that one I just can’t quite understand.
Yet, as many of you have probably noticed, feet are the most neglected parts of the body. And this time of year is proof of that.
Basic Foot Care 101:
* Soak feet in warm water dosed with oil, bath salts, or a foot soak product.
* Dry feet thoroughly. Use a pumice stone.
* Smooth newly sloughed skin with cream or oil.
* Always cut toenails straight across.
* Cuticles should be pushed back and creamed.
* Use a moisturizer nightly.
Those are only basic foot care tips.
Also consider these options:
Podiatry: Make an appointment for professional nail-cutting, the removal of corns and calluses and help with other foot care issues.
Pedicure: Make an appointment to have nails clipped, dead skin removed, nails buffed, nails polished, and even a foot massage.
